An Original 1990 (from the first release of this movie in Japan) Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Japanese Export (printed for use in French speaking countries) "B1" Movie Poster (29x41; measures 28 1/2" x 40 1/2" [72 x 103 cm]) (Learn More) La Jetee (released in English-speaking countries as "The Pier"), the 1962 Chris Marker French romantic science fiction (sci-fi) dystopian future short (the inspiration for Terry Gilliam's "12 Monkeys"; except for a momentary shot, this film is entirely composed of black and white still photographs) starring Helene Chatelain, Davos Hanich, Jacques Ledoux, Andre Heinrich, and narrated by Jean Negroni If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is not like a typical Japanese B1. It is printed on a different quality paper stock and it has solely French writing on it. We have seen other Japanese posters for other French movies similar to this, and we believe it was issued when the movie came out. If anyone has more information about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this is a rare Japanese "B1" poster that measures 28 1/2" x 40 1/2"! "B1" posters are FAR more rare than "B2" posters (which measure approximately 20" x 28 1/2"), and because they are larger (similar in size to a U.S. one-sheet), they are more impressive when displayed on a wall! Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
