An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Argentinean Movie Poster (measures approximately 29" x 43") (Learn More) Comin' Round the Mountain (sometimes identified as "Abbott & Costello Comin' Round the Mountain"), the 1951 Charles Lamont Ozarks hillbilly musical screwball comedy ("Bud and Lou are Hilarious Hillbillies Now!"; "Bud and Lou are feudin' McCoys!"; "Written by Robert Lees") starring Bud Abbott, Lou Costello (Abbott and Costello), Dorothy Shay (billed as "and co-starring that Park Avenue Hillbillie [sic] Dorothy Shay ...swinging out with 5 song hits!"), Kirby Grant, Shaye Cogan, Joe Sawyer, Margaret Hamilton, and Dorothy Shay NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This Argentinean poster measures approximately 29" x 43" and is linenbacked. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). Note that we gave this condition grade to a very few posters that were in pretty good condition prior to linenbacking, but which were not all that well linenbacked, and which could be fairly easily re-backed with only minor additional restoration. The poster had small tears and tiny areas of paper loss down the entire vertical foldline. There was minor wear on the horizontal foldlines. There were pinholes, creases, tears, and small areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed (the restorer chose to paint over much of the blank borders to "even them out", and this was done quite nicely). Learn More about condition grades
