A 1958 Re-Release Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Franz Werfel's The Song of Bernadette, the 1943 Henry King (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) France historical religious melodrama ("From the novel by Franz Werfel"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Jennifer Jones (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; in the title role as Bernadette), William Eythe, Charles Bickford (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Vincent Price, Lee J. Cobb, Gladys Cooper (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Anne Revere (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Marcel Dalio, Mary Anderson, and Blanche Yurka NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Norman Rockwell Important Added Info: Note that this is a very odd re-release lobby card! It has a copyright date of 1954, which is the date of the first re-release of this movie, yet we know there is a regular NSS 1954 re-release lobby set, so we don't think it is from that one. Since this set has no title card, and since the 1958 re-release one-sheet has Norman Rockwell's name taken off of the artwork, we think it likely that this set is from the 1958 re-release (which might explain why there is no title card, because perhaps there was a dispute with the Norman Rockwell people), but it does not explain why these cards have a 1954 copyright date! If anyone knows more about this re-release, please e-mail us and we will post it here. In any event, please do not bid on this card unless you can accept the uncertainty as to whether it is from 1954 or 1958, or possibly from a third date. Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: very good. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
