If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that the first release 1933 King Kong insert is incredibly rare, and would cost a fortune to purchase. But this 1956 re-release insert has a great full-color image that does not appear on any 1933 posters, and certainly it would be a great alternative to a collector who wants a King Kong poster for their collection without taking a King Kong-sized bite out of their wallet! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had minor wear on the folds and a few pinholes and tiny tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Note that nowadays, most collectors choose to paperback inserts, but this insert was backed long ago, at a time when linenbacking was done to all posters (but it does not hurt the poster in any way).
