An Original Vintage Folded Russian Circus Poster (measures 33 1/4" x 44 3/4" [84 x 114 cm]) (Learn More) Brilliantov (literal translation of the Russian title), the 1946 Russian circus poster promoting an event featuring a strong man/body builder. Note that this poster features art of Alexandar Brilliantov performing great feats of strength, including lifting a horse! Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this poster! This circus poster was printed in two sections, and of course, the circus that used this poster glued the two pieces together before putting them on display. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Note that this poster is one of a collection of 36 similar posters that we were consigned (and are currently auctioning in 36 separate auctions). They include Russian, Uzbek, Ukranian, and Latvian posters, and some of them are movie posters, and others are circus posters, with a few other kinds of posters. All of these posters are incredibly rare, and on the vast majority of them, we have never auctioned them before, and it may be many years before we auction any of them again. This is a rare opportunity to purchase one or more of these posters, all of which have very striking images! Condition: good to very good. There is some separation in the area where the two pieces were glued together. There is an irregular tear in the bottom center of the poster that goes up through the red box and extends into the bottom of the image (see our image). There are some small tears around the edges of the poster that have small pieces of tape on the back of them. After a simple linenbacking, the poster will display wonderfully!
