A Vintage Paperback Book (measures 4" x 7 1/4" [10 x 18 cm]; 187 pages) (Learn More) Hitch-Hike Hussy, the 1952 John B. Thompson & Jack Woodford nymphomaniac sexploitation novel ("Anyone could pick up Sunny!"; "The powerful story of a roadside renegade who'd go wherever you wanted, and as far as you like...") Artist: Saul Severin Important Added Info: Note that this is one of a collection of 33 sexploitation paperback books from the 1950s and 1960s from a new collection we were recently consigned (see below for more), and are auctioning in 33 separate auctions. These are from the repressed 1950s and 1960s, from the days when "respectable" people had few outlets for non-traditional sexual desires, and these "sleaze" paperbacks covered those subjects in depth! They always had lurid covers, and they were often sold "under the counter" (where you had to ask for them). The sexual revolution of the late 1960s made these books pretty irrelevant, but they are a fascinating reminder of repressed sexual attitudes of the 1960s! In 2018, we were consigned a collection of around 300 of these books, and we auctioned them from then until 2021. Now we have been consigned a new collection that we will be auctioning every four weeks, with around 30 in each auction. There is only one of each title, so if you don't purchase a specific book, don't expect to see it again, because there is not another example of it in this collection! Condition: good. The book is in pretty good condition, except someone underlined many passages scattered throughout the book (obviously, things they found most entertaining!). Please do not bid on this unless you can accept this unusual defect. Learn More about condition grades
