Date Sold 3/8/2015Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 15 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More) Emanuelle Nera (released in the U.S. as "Black Emanuelle" and "Emanuelle's Holiday"), the 1975 Bitto Albertini (billed as "Albert Thomas") Italian/Spanish sexploitation movie ("A New Experience In Sensuality."; "No one is ever the same after... Black Emanuelle"; "Emanuelle's a girl who's going places. FOLLOW HER. She'll take you where you've never been.") starring Laura Gemser (in the title role as Emanuelle), Karin Schubert, Gabriele Tinti, Roger Browne, Riccardo Salvino, Maria Piera Regoli, Matilde Dell'aglio, Stefania Nocilli, Karin Schubert, Angelo Infanti, Don Powell, and Isabelle Marchall. Note that after the success of the 1974 film Emmanuelle, many authorized sequels were created. The success also spawned many "knock-off" Emmanuelle films, which included the name Emmanuelle or its variants in their titles for exploitative reasons, but were not connected to the original series. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this item contains some nudity, so we have placed a white bar over those areas for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual item does not have the white bars. SUPER IMPORTANT! THOUGH ONLY EIGHT OF THE STILLS ARE PICTURED, THE HIGH BIDDER ON THIS LOT WILL RECEIVE 15 STILLS FROM THIS MOVIE (but realize that on some of these lots with 9 or more stills there may be a few duplicates, mostly on post-1960 lots)! We realize there is an element of gambling to this, but we made only a small effort to find the best stills in these lots, and, if you have any willingness to gamble at all, you may find that you get some great stills that were not pictured! Please do NOT bid on this lot unless you can accept that you are only seeing eight of the stills. Note that these stills appear in every way to be original U.S. release EXCEPT that there is one very tiny line of French type in the lower right of each still. It reads, "IMPRIME AUX ETATS-UNIS D'AMERIQUE". A collector has told us that he believes this means the stills were printed for use in areas that included French-speaking parts of Canada, but that they WERE printed in the U.S., and that makes complete sense to us (and we have seen this on stills from the 1940s through the early 2000s, so it has certainly been done for an extremely long time)! So they are original stills from 1975, but they were printed partially for use in French-speaking Canada. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: good to very good. Each still has a faint embossed foreign stamp in one corner. Learn More about condition grades
