The Antifa movement is a political movement of autonomous, self-styled anti-fascist groups. Antifa groups are known for their militant protest tactics, including property damage and physical violence. They tend to be anti-government and anti-capitalist, and they are predominantly far left and militant left, including anarchists, communists and socialists. The first German movement to call itself Antifaschistische Aktion was proclaimed by the German Communist Party (KPD) in their newspaper Rote Fahne in 1932 and held its first rally in Berlin on in 1932. Its original all-red, two-flag logo, designed by Association of Revolutionary Visual Artists members Max Keilson and Max Gebhard, remains a widely used symbol of militant anti-fascism which Bernd Langer adapted to strong anarchist tendencies within ANTIFA by adding black to the logo. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that Silvio Meier was an activist of the left-alternative scene in Berlin and squatters.
