Artist: Jack Thurston Important Added Info: Note that almost every one-sheet for this movie that we have previously sold has had a large corrective credits snipe over the top left tagline area. This was because that long tagline contained the sentence "Filmed in Giant Panamation". A knowledgeable collector tells us that "Panamation" was simply another name for Harryhausen's Super-Dynamation process. However, it is likely copyright issues with Panavision caused the studio to issue the snipe. Until now, we thought that EVERY one-sheet had this tagline (some would have a snipe, and some might not, since of course, the snipe could be removed). BUT NOW, WE HAVE AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT ONE-SHEET! IT LOOKS THE SAME IN EVERY WAY, EXCEPT THAT THE TOP TAGLINE AREA AT LEFT HAS THE WORD "COLOR" INSTEAD OF "GIANT PANAMATION". This poster has the same NSS number and information as all the others, so obviously the studio, in addition to putting snipes on posters, also printed up a new poster with the corrected tagline, but did not bother to note it in any way on front or back (for instance, stamping "REVISED", as was sometimes done). We have only seen this one-sheet a few times before! Condition: good to very good. There are some pinholes around the edges of the poster. Other than some quite minor fold and border wear it is otherwise in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
