Date Sold 12/6/2015 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 8 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (LCs; measure 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) In 1946, Paul Terry created a wonderful set of 8 cartoon animation lobby cards from Terry-Toon Cartoons. The set included a great Mighty Mouse card, of Heckle & Jeckle, Oil Can Harry & Pearl Pureheart, Dingbat & Sylvester the Fox, Sourpuss, Dinky, Little Roquefort and Terry Bears. One wishes that the other cartoon studios had thought to issue similar lobby card sets for their cartoon characters! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only once before auctioned a complete set of all eight of these wonderful cards, and that was 22 years ago, and they auctioned for $1,380. We have auctioned a couple of the Mighty Mouse cards by themselves, and they have auctioned for over $400 each. This is a very rare opportunity to purchase all eight cards at one time, and they are in excellent condition! Condition: very good to fine. Each card has a faint small crease in the upper left and a few of the cards have a few faint creases in other border areas. The Mighty Mouse card has a tiny circular brown stain in the middle of the left blue background area, and the Dinky card has a fine vertical scuff line down the left background area. Otherwise, the cards are in wonderful condition, and it is unlikely that one could find them in better condition! Learn More about condition grades
