A Paperbacked Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Campaign Book Page (measures 11 3/4" x 16" [30 x 41 cm]) (Learn More)

Aloma of the South Seas, the 1926 Maurice Tourneur silent tropical island romantic love triangle melodrama ("From the play by John B. Hymer and LeRoy Clemens"; about an American who falls in love with a beautiful native dancer on a tropical island, but she has a native boyfriend, but everything works out in the end when the American finds a white woman and the native couple is reunited) starring Gilda Gray (in the title role as Aloma), Percy Marmont, Warner Baxter, Julanne Johnston, and William Powell (right before he appeared in Beau Geste). Note that this movie was loosely remade in 1941 under the same title with Dorothy Lamour in the title role. Also, note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that this page was removed from the Paramount Pictures 15th Birthday Group campaign book and then it was paperbacked. It can be framed to create a very affordable first release display from this movie!

Note that because this page (which was printed on a thicker paper) was paperbacked and CAN'T be sent rolled (someone could conceivably roll it or try to do so, but we know it would definitely lessen its condition, so we will only send it in a very large flat package, unless the buyer insists, and then they would be responsible for any damage).

What IS paperbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. Prior to paperbacking, the page was removed from a campaign book and paperbacked. Other than being removed from the book, it was in nice condition, and the printing on the back does not bleed through to the front.
