An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 12" x 18"; 12 pages) (Learn More) Blazing Barriers, the 1937 Aubrey Scotto Depression era troubled teens romantic melodrama (about two teen big city boys who are sent to work for the Civilian Conservation Corps in the forestry service, and they get mixed up in arson and murder) starring Frank Coghlan Jr. (billed as "Frank 'Junior' Coghlan"), Florine McKinney, Edward Arnold Jr., Irene Franklin, and Guy Bates Post. Note that Edward Arnold Jr. WAS the son of famous actor Edward Arnold (he was actually born William, but was billed as "Edward Arnold Jr." to make the connection clear). He had a very short film career, mostly playing overweight juveniles. This was his one starring role. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook, and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut! Condition: good to very good, NO CUTS. The back cover is coming loose from the staples and there are tiny tears and tiny paper loss down the spine, and there is surface paper loss in the upper center of the front cover.
