An Original Vintage 7" x 9" [18 x 23 cm] News Photo (Learn More) Nancy Carroll (born Ann Veronica LaHiff in New York City) was an actress from the 1920s to the 1960s. Some of her movies include: Devil's Holiday (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Broken Lullaby, There Goes My Heart, Hot Saturday, Scarlet Dawn, and The Kiss Before the Mirror. She passed away in 1965 at the age of 61. AND Toby Wing (born Martha Virginia Wing) was an actress from the 1920s to the 1930s. Some of her movies include: A Woman Who Sinned, 42nd Street, The Little Giant, Torch Singer, and The Marines Come Thru. She then retired from Hollywood to marry Dick Merrill, and they stayed married until Merrill's passing in 1982 AND Jack Oakie was an actor from the 1920s to the 1960s. Some of his roles include: The Great Dictator (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Around the World in Eighty Days, Thieves Highway, If I Had a Million, and Lover Come Back Important Added Info: Note that this news photo, which measures 7" x 9" [18 x 23 cm], shows top Hollywood stars at a party in 1934 held at the home of Carl Laemmle Sr. in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Mervyn LeRoy, who had just returned from a 5 month honeymoon trip. It was very common in Hollywood at this time for stars to throw costume parties, no doubt because they had easy access to cool costumes through the studios. The snipe on the back of this photo does not identify who these stars are dressed as, and we could take guesses, but we'd prefer for our bidders to tell us exactly who each of the stars is dressed as! If anyone knows exactly who they are, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: good to very good. There is paper loss in the bottom right corner that extends into the edge of the image.
