An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Youth to Youth, the 1922 Emile Chautard silent New York City Broadway stage acting romantic love triangle melodrama (about a country girl who goes to Broadway and becomes a star with the help of a wealthy older man; but then there is a potential scandal about their relationship, and she "goes on the road", where she meets a farmer who falls in love with her, but he breaks their engagement when he learns of her past; she goes back to the rich man, and goes on a cruise on his yacht, but at the movie's climax, the farmer shows up in a rowboat and takes her back!) starring Billie Dove, Edythe Chapman, Hardee Kirkland, Sylvia Ashton, and Jack Gardner NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this unusual half-sheet has eight images of Billie Dove and several of them are by "name" photographers, who are credited on the poster. Credited are "Alfred Chaney Johnston, Edwin Bower Hesser, and Ira Hill (the image in the bottom left had a credit by it, but a tiny piece of white tape was put over it, which was likely done over some kind of dispute when the movie was released!). Also note that this poster has never been folded! Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. There is a small piece of white tape in the bottom left corner (see above). There are stains and some tears around the edges, with small paper loss in the right of the top border. There are some smudges in the white background areas of the image. The poster is not nearly as fragile as many half-sheets of this era, and it CAN be rolled and sent to the new owner in a tube. Learn More about condition grades
