(Learn More) Pioneer Days, the 1930 Burt Gillett Walt Disney cowboy western animated animation cartoon short featuring the voices of Walt Disney (as Mickey Mouse), and Marcellite Garner (as Minnie Mouse) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a wonderful set of two 1 1/2" x 5 1/4" English glass slides for this 1930 Mickey Mouse cartoon. They come in a printed box along with a 5 1/2" x 9 1/2" 2-page supplement telling all about the cartoon, and also with an ad for other "Mickey Mouse Lantern Slide Stories" available. The boxed set is not dated, but it has "produced with permission of WALTER E. DISNEY", which makes us pretty certain it is from 1930 or extremely soon afterwards. The slides were made by Ensign Ltd of London, and come with the original slide reading sheet. Condition: very good to fine. The two slides have red tape around them, but it appears they were created that way. The supplement is folded as it was originally included in the box and the box has some wear, but overall, this has survived in surprisingly nice condition (see our images).
