An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Doctor Rhythm, the 1938 Frank Tuttle musical medical doctor comedy ("Up goes the nation's mirth rate!"; "Based on the story 'The Badge of Policeman O'Roon' by O. Henry"; about a doctor who impersonates a cop so he can get close to a beautiful heiress) starring Bing Crosby, Mary Carlisle, Beatrice Lillie, Andy Devine, Laura Hope Crews, Rufe Davis, and Louis Armstrong (in his third role!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this glass slide includes an image of Louis Armstrong in a white suit playing his trumpet by his band! Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. When we auction slides that have a cardboard holder, we provide a separate image of how the cardboard holder looks, but when we auction slides with the black tape (like this one) we only provide the scan of the glass slide image, because that really is about all there is to see.
