An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Across to Singapore, the 1928 William Nigh silent romantic love triangle seafaring ship adventure thriller ("From the story by Ben Ames Williams"; the story had been made in 1923 under its original title of All the Brothers Were Valiant, and was remade again in 1953, again with the original title; about seafaring brothers who are both in love with the same beautiful woman; she marries one, but after there is a mutiny and the girl is kidnapped, the brother who didn't marry her realizes that she truly loves his brother and he gives his life to save both of them) starring Ramon Novarro, Joan Crawford, Ernest Torrence, Frank Currier, Dan Wolheim, and Anna May Wong NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1928 movie paper from this movie is incredibly rare. We have only auctioned one other scene lobby card item from this movie (and that one did not have Anna May Wong) until we received this different scene lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. There is water staining across the bottom border, but it only slightly enters the bottom left edge of the border. There is tiny paper loss in the bottom of the right blank border and paper loss in the top right blank corner. There are some small stains in the upper left border, with a few small ones in the top left background area. There is a pinhole in each left blank corner. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! This is the sort of card that responds really well to professional restoration. It is likely that much or all of the water stains can be removed through chemical means, and after that restoration and restoration of the paper loss in the blank borders described above, the card will look fantastic!
