Cronin's The Green Years, the 1946 Victor Saville romantic Scottish family relationship melodrama ("The green years is a wonderful motion picture!"; "Out on the moors, so lonely, so wild, Alison was never more beautiful. Once again he felt that flooding desire in his heart..."; "It's the book with a heartful of love that thrilled millions!"; "To be young - and in love!"; based on the book of the same title by A.J. Cronin) starring Charles Coburn (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Tom Drake, Beverly Tyler, Hume Cronyn, Gladys Cooper, Dean Stockwell, Richard Haydn, and Jessica Tandy. Note that A.J. Cronin was a doctor who had health problems in 1930. He wrote a book called "Hatter's Castle" in 1931, and it was so successful that he stopped practicing medicine and wrote a series of books, all centering around doctors, including "The Citadel" and "Keys of the Kingdom", all of which were made into movies! Important Added Info: Note that these lobby cards were printed in the United States for use at theaters with Spanish speaking audiences (this was done most by MGM, starting in the 1930s, but it was done by the other major studios as well, and often the posters would have the exact same image as the English language poster, except the writing would be in Spanish, and on posters from the 1930s and 1940s there would be an added "Toda en Espanol!", meaning "Entirely in Spanish!", printed within the image). Sometimes posters from the 1960s or later will have the word "SPANISH" printed in the bottom border (or sometimes stamped on the back of the poster). Condition: good to very good.
