Artist: Saul Bass Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair. The poster had two extra horizontal folds, one 3" above the top horizontal fold and one 1/2" above that. It had some tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the folds and minor wear in the borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, and surely displayed well, but after it was backed, it acquired water staining down the left of the poster, in four equally spaced areas, each approximately 3" x 5". The water staining is more on the back of the poster, but it has discolored the poster on the front, and it is really urgent that the poster be removed from the current backing and properly restored re-backed. Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept this very significant defects and are prepared to immediately have the poster re-backed. Learn More about condition grades
