Wren"; about an Englishman who leaves England in disgrace and joins the French Foreign Legion, where his two brothers are serving, and they must deal with a sadistic sergeant and murderous Arabs) starring Ronald Colman (in the title role as Michael 'Beau' Geste; "By arrangement with Samuel Goldwyn"), Alice Joyce, Neil Hamilton (as Digby Geste), Noah Beery Sr. (as Sgt. Lejaune), Mary Brian, William Powell (as the Arab, Boldini!), Norman Trevor, Ralph Forbes (as John Geste), and Victor McLaglen. Note that this movie was remade in 1939, with Gary Cooper, Ray Milland, and Robert Preston as the three brothers, and Brian Donlevy as the sadistic sergeant. The window card originally had a blank top that was neatly trimmed off (this was commonly done with window cards, when the top had been left blank, or when someone had hand-scrawled play date information in that area). Most collectors do not consider it to be a significant defect at all, since only blank white paper is lost, and the window card becomes easier to frame. Condition: good. The top 5" of the card was trimmed off. There is a 4" tear with paper loss in the bottom 2" of the tear at the bottom center of the card. There is a 5" tear in the left of the top of the card, extending into the face of the soldier that was partially repaired with a piece of tape from the back. There are other border defects.
