An Original Vintage Magazine (measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm]) (Learn More) World Famous Creatures, the monster magazine that was published starting in October of 1958. It was extremely similar to Famous Monsters of Filmland, but this magazine only lasted 4 issues (we don't know why). It had really cool covers (some would say better than early Famous Monsters covers), and the first two issues had "Halloween masks" on the back cover (you could cut out the mask and "attach a rubber band to the tabs on the sides"). We are told they are extremely rare, much more so than the early issues of Famous Monsters of Filmland. If anyone knows more about this magazine, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Important Added Info: Note that we have provided a picture of the front cover of the magazine, and pictures of interior two-page spreads (including the table of contents page if there is one; but we didn't make much effort to find the best ones!). These images should greatly help you judge the overall condition of the magazine, and the contents page lets you know exactly what articles and stories are contained in this particular issue. Please know that these magazines are sealed in bags and are ready for shipping, and we cannot answer any questions about them or look through them for you, so please bid (or do not bid) based on the images we have provided. Condition: fair. The back cover is entirely missing (there was a "Halloween mask" on the back cover that you cut out, and obviously, the owner of this issue did that with his!). Someone took the loose front cover and attached it to the back cover with several pieces of tape at the spine, both vertically and horizontally, and that tape has yellowed. The spine has rolled. There are creases, tears, and tiny paper loss around the edges of the cover and creases and scuffs in the lower right and top of the cover, with tiny paper loss in the bottom left corner of the cover (see our images to give you a good sense of the condition of the magazine).
