Lay-offs Cost Lives! Keep 'Em Firing!, the 1943 U.S. World War II (WWII) Home Front poster ("Aw, take the day off, pal, what have you got to lose?") encouraging workers to be on time and not to take unnecessary days off of work, and featuring art of Adolf Hitler encouraging a worker to stay home. Note that this poster may have been issued by the Oldsmobile Division of General Motors Corporation, but the poster that we have seen only had U.S. ARMY stamped on the back.

Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this poster! It was created on a heavy board and has two holes in the top with metal grommets and a string between the holes so that the poster could be hung in workplaces. It has an emblem on the back from Oklahoma City with "US ARMY 1943" below it

Note that this poster is printed on a heavy window card-like stock that cannot be rolled. The poster will be shipped in a flat package that measures approximately 14" x 18".

Condition: good to very good. The poster has light smudges and stains scattered throughout.
