An Original Vintage Theatrical 6 3/4" x 9 1/4" [17 x 23 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) John Steinbeck's The Moon Is Down, the 1943 Irving Pichel World War II (WWII) Nazi Norway military Occupation Resistance melodrama ("Today's greatest drama!"; based on the novel by John Steinbeck; about the German Nazi invasion of Norway; it tells the story of a small town there where the Germans try to get the townspeople to work for them, but the townspeople intentionally sabotage the work, so the Nazis take the mayor and a group of other people hostage and threaten to kill them unless they cooperate and the mayor tells the Nazis that being mayor isn't being a man but is an idea, and the hostages go bravely to their death rather than help the Nazis) starring Sir Cedric Hardwicke, Henry Travers, Lee J.
