An Original Vintage Theatrical Color 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still #8 (Learn More) The Glass Slipper, the 1955 Charles Walters romantic fantasy musical ("There's love and joy and beauty in this great MGM entertainment!"; "A screenful of romance, music, and spectacle in radiant COLOR!"; "Ballets by Roland Petit"; "Featuring Ballet de Paris"; based on the classic Cinderella fairy tale) starring Leslie Caron (billed as "Starring the 'Lili' girl, Leslie Caron"; and "Leslie Caron Star Of Famed 'Lili'"; as "Cinder" Ella), Michael Wilding, Keenan Wynn, Estelle Winwood, Elsa Lanchester, and Barry Jones NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that although this still was "printed in Great Britain", it has full NSS information. It may have been intended to be used in both countries, but at least some movies have both these NSS stills and also English FOH stills with the same images, and we have never heard from a collector who saw the NSS stills in UK theaters. A knowledgeable collector suggests that these NSS stills were used solely in the U.S., and that perhaps studios printed them in Great Britain as a way to "use up" UK profits and avoid having to pay taxes.
