The war was over -- and the world's greatest flyers had never met in combat. But Waldo was going to change all that -- even if it killed him."; "Story by George Roy Hill"; "Screenplay by William Goldman"; about a biplane pilot, who had missed out flying in World War I, that takes up barnstorming and later a movie career in his quest for his missed glory, eventually getting a chance to prove himself in a movie depicting the dogfights in the Great War) starring Robert Redford (in the title role as Waldo Pepper), Bo Svenson, Susan Sarandon (in one of her earliest roles, right before she appeared in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"!), Margot Kidder, Bo Brundin, and Geoffrey Lewis NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this half-sheet came directly from an individual who worked at Universal Pictures in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. He received many samples of posters which he carefully saved. Not only are they in wonderful condition (practically brand new unless otherwise noted), but his collection includes some posters that are extremely rare, and in fact, he may have some posters which were only made as samples and never were generally distributed! Condition: fine. There are a few very minor scuffs in the lower left and lower right corners. There is a slight "waviness" to the poster from the way it was stored. This would certainly flatten out if it were laid flat for any length of time.. Note that this poster has never been folded! Most half-sheet posters were folded twice (once horizontally and once vertically) right off of the printing press. It is very difficult to find an unfolded copy of most half-sheets, especially from before 1970! Learn More about condition grades
