An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Autographed One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Halloween, the classic 1978 John Carpenter horror slasher thriller ("The Night He Came Home!"; "When were you last scared out of your wits by a movie?"; "Written by John Carpenter and Debra Hill") starring Donald Pleasence, Jamie Lee Curtis, P.J. Soles, Nancy Kyes (billed as "Nancy Loomis"), Nick Castle (as The Shape, aka Michael Myers), Will Sandin (as the young Michael Myers), Tony Moran (briefly as unmasked Michael Myers at the end of the film), Charles Cyphers, Kyle Richards, Brian Andrews, John Michael Graham, Nancy Stephens, Arthur Male, Mickey Yablans, Brent Le Page, Adam Hollander, Robert Phalen, Sandy Johnson, David Kyle, Peter Griffish, and Jim Windburn. Note that the iconic Michael Myers mask was originally a Star Trek Captain Kirk mask that was painted and slightly altered by Tommy Lee Wallace. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Bob Gleason Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been personally autographed (signed) by NINE people: director John Carpenter, Nick Castle, Nancy Kyes, Sandy Johnson, Tony Moran, P.J. Soles, Charles Cyphers, Brian Andrews AND Jamie Lee Curtis! Our consignor (who has since passed away) obtained these autographs in person at different collectibles shows over several years, and he was a prominent collector, and we think it extremely likely the autographs are genuine, but because they were obtained in person there is no certificate of authenticity, so bear this in mind before bidding. In August of 2024 we auctioned a different example of this poster that was in "very good" condition and was autographed by six people (but NOT including Jamie Lee Curtis), and that example sold for $1,211! Also note that this poster has a rating box with a green background. When the movie was first released, posters were printed with a blue/green rating box. Shortly after (probably because the movie was a big hit), additional posters were printed with a black rating box. Most collectors consider both of these to be original release posters, but that the blue/green rating box ones are considered more desirable by many collectors! Condition: good. The poster was folded in half an extra time. It has many light creases and scuffs scattered through the poster with just a few pinholes and some small stains in parts of the borders. There is separation at the crossfolds with clear tape on the back of the crossfolds and just a few other pieces of tape on the back of the poster. If I owned this great poster, I would have it professionally backed, and afterwards it will display well, but bear all the above in mind before bidding. Learn More about condition grades
