An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Niagara, the 1953 Henry Hathaway marital problems romantic melodrama ("Marilyn Monroe and 'Niagara' a raging torrent of emotion that even nature can't control!"; "Marilyn Monroe and Niagara, the high water mark in suspense"; set at the famous Niagara Falls waterfall in New York state and Canada; about two couples visiting the famous landmark, one on their honeymoon, and the other in a very disturbing relationship, which leads to a death, which may be murder) starring Marilyn Monroe, Joseph Cotten, Jean Peters, Casey Adams, Denis O'Dea, Richard Allan, Don Wilson, Lurene Tuttle, Russell Collins, and Will Wright. Note that Marilyn Monroe was given the lead in this movie, but she was not yet a major star. Her performance in this film, and the iconic gigantic image of her laying atop the famous waterfall with the water running over her body helped her career massively! The poster had many tears and small areas of paper loss on parts of several folds and many pinholes, smudges, and stains around the edges. Someone put paper tape on the back of parts of most folds and on the front and back of the top and bottom borders. There was paper loss in the top left sky area and someone put a piece of paper tape on the back of it, and crudely colored the front. There was a triangular area of surface paper loss with several tears in the left of the top fold, and someone did the most amateur of restoration, putting brown paper tape on the back of that area and putting white masking tape on the front of part of that area. The poster obviously has really major defects, but it could be rescued by a talented restorer. But please look closely at our super-sized image and bear in mind the cost of restoration before placing a bid on this poster. Learn More about condition grades
