Saul Bass was an American artist and director from the 1940s to the 1990s. Saul is famous for his artwork on many great movie posters and being an Academy Award winning director. Some of his works include: Exodus, Anatomy of a Murder, Vertigo, Bonjour Tristesse, Saint Joan, and the Man with the Golden Arm
Important Added Info: Note that this greeting card was sent by Saul Bass to his friend, French designer Jacques Richez (who designed the famous Brussels 1958 Expo poster). It was mailed in an envelope that has Saul Bass' return address embossed on the back. The card has the names of Mr. Bass, his wife, and his children printed at the top. Under that, Mr. Bass wrote a note to Mr. Richez and signed it for both himself and his wife (but his signature is very recognizable, so it is clear it was he who wrote the note to his friend). Our consignor does not have a certificate of authenticity, but it seems absolutely certain that this is genuine, especially considering it has the embossed Bass envelope with it.

As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased (although we prefer they do any "authenticating" while the auction is "live" and before they place a bid) and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes.

Condition: very good to fine. The envelope has stains and smudges on the front, but the signed card is in really nice condition!
