Deus e o Diabo na Terra do Sol (released in the U.S. in 1971 as "Black God, White Devil"), the 1964 Glauber Rocha Brazilian crime religion melodrama (about a man who kills his boss after being cheated, and he flees with his wife and joins a cult, but more violence ensues and they must flee again) starring Geraldo Del Rey, Mauricio do Valle, Sonia Dos Humildes, Othon Bastos, Yona Magalhaes, and Lidio Silva. Note that this film was nominated for the Palme d'Or at the 1964 Cannes Film Festival, and it is considered by many critics to be one of the most important Brazilian movies ever made.
