An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) A New Grantland Rice Sportlight, the 1950 Paramount Grantland Rice sports highlights short ("Your Ringside Seat Where Sports History is Made!"; "A New Grantland Rice Sportlight"). Note that this is a stock one-sheet that was sent to theaters showing these sports highlight newsreels. Note that the one-sheet has great artwork images of basketball, football, and baseball players, as well as horse racing and swimmers diving into a pool. Note that Grantland Rice was a famous sports writer of the 1920s, who produced 164 sports short subjects in the 1920s and 1930s. The IMDb does not show him as having produced sports highlights reels in the 1940s (except for two single titles in 1943 and 1945), so it is quite possible that his name was used on this series, but that he was not actually connected with them. There are MANY tack holes throughout the poster with some tears and small paper loss from rough removal. The poster is slightly discolored and there is some creasing and light rippling throughout.
