An Original Vintage French Campaign Book (measures 9 3/4" x 12 3/4" [25 x 32 cm]; 48 pages) (Learn More) Fox 1928-29, the 1928 French campaign book sent to theater owners to encourage them to show their new movies including films by Howard Hawks, F.W. Murnau (Sunrise), John Ford (Four Sons), and many more. Fox did something different from other studios in that they included a number of poster pages from pressbook, including the one for Sunrise! Campaign books in general are extremely rare, but ones from France from before World War II are even more rare, and ones from the silent days are beyond rare! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this French campaign book! Condition: good to very good. There is clear tape on three places on the spine, where there were tears and small paper loss. There is wear around the covers.
