An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (printed in Spanish in the U.S. for Spanish speaking audiences; 27" x 41") (Learn More) Thunder on the Hill (released in England as "Bonaventure"), the 1951 Douglas Sirk religious nun crime thriller ("Six desperate people... hiding one guilty secret!"; about a nun at a convent hospital who tries to help a convicted murderess prove her innocence by finding the real killer) starring Claudette Colbert, Ann Blyth, Robert Douglas, Anne Crawford, Philip Friend, Gladys Cooper, Michael Pate, and John Abbott NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was printed in the United States for use at theaters with Spanish speaking audiences. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some very minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). Note that we gave this condition grade to a very few posters that were in pretty good condition prior to linenbacking, but which were not all that well linenbacked, and which could be fairly easily re-backed with only minor additional restoration. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and some creases and scuffs on some foldlines. There were pinholes around the edges of the poster.
