An Unfolded Swiss Art Exhibition Poster (measures 35 1/2" x 50 1/2" [90 x 128 cm]) (Learn More) Picasso, the 1968 Swiss poster promoting an exhibition of the works of Pablo Picasso which was held from April to May at the Kunsthaus in Zurich, Switzerland. Note that this poster features black and white art of a classical chariot driven by Greek/Roman warrior by Pablo Picasso. Note that the very first painting by Pablo Picasso that was ever conserved was painted in Malaga when he was just eight years old, and it features a horse. Ever since then, and right into his old age, the horse appears again and again in Picasso's work. He depicted everything symbolic, noble, grotesque, human and mythological about the beast. Some chariots also appear in Picasso's paintings but when pressed to explain the elements in Guernica, Picasso said: "...this bull is a bull and this horse is a horse... If you give a meaning to certain things in my paintings it may be very true, but it is not my idea to give this meaning. What ideas and conclusions you have got I obtained too, but instinctively, unconsciously. I make the painting for the painting. I paint the objects for what they are."
