An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Tom Keene, the 1940s stock poster used by theaters when showing Tom Keene re-releases. This poster had a large blank area in the center where the specific title of the film being shown could be overprinted or a snipe applied. Important Added Info: Note that this is a "stock" poster created for use by theaters showing 1930s Tome Keene movies. Theaters would order this poster, which had a large blank area at the bottom. Sometimes the studio would overprint the stock poster with the title of a specific movie, and sometimes they were sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, so the theater could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. Sometimes stock posters are found with blank snipe areas. Most collectors consider them more valuable with a printed snipe attached, or with an overprinted snipe area (this poster was overprinted with the title "Battle of Greed"). Condition: very good to fine. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and a few very tiny areas of paper loss in some foldlines. There were pinholes, creases, and a few tears around the edges of the poster, and minor creases on some folds. Overall, the poster was in very good to fine condition prior to linenbacking.
