An Original Vintage Theatrical Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22") (Learn More) Frank Stanley in Person, the 1930s poster ("Direct From Hollywood!"; "In person - on our stage Gene Autry's movie pal Frank Stanley and his Hollywood Cavalcade"; "Stars of the silver screen stage - radio"; "See them in person!") featuring an image of Frank Stanley on a rearing horse, as well as a picture of Frank Stanley with Gene Autry. Note that their advertising was very deceptive, as it makes it appear that Gene Autry himself might be appearing, given the large size of his name and image on the card; I imagine this was intentional, as I am sure Frank Stanley wasn't near the draw that Gene Autry was! Important Added Info: This window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: good to very good. The window card is in quite nice condition, except there is an uneven area down the right edge of the card that is pure white, while the rest of the card is a cream color. We have no idea what would have caused this, and we originally were consigned other examples of this card that have the exact same odd defect. It is almost like the window card was printed on unevenly colored paper stock, rather than that it aged this way. In any event, do not bid on this card unless you can accept this odd defect (which is mostly just in the blank right border)! Learn More about condition grades
