Note that Belle Baker is completely forgotten today, but in the 1920s, she was a top vaudeville performer, having started in all Jewish venues, but then she was discovered by Jacob Adler, which led to her performing with the Ziegfeld Follies, and she was given this movie to star in as one of Columbia's first musicals, and she had her own radio show on CBS in the 1930s. She specialized in ragtime and torch songs, including many by Irving Berlin. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
