If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this style B half-sheet is FAR more rare than the style A half-sheet. We have auctioned four examples of the style A half-sheet, but we have only once before auctioned this style B half-sheet, and that was 11 years ago, and it auctioned for $966. Note that this movie was originally in 3-D. The studios created both 3D and 2D posters and lobby cards (the 2-D posters and lobby cards were for theaters that lacked the 3-D equipment). This poster is from the "3-D" release. Also note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Note that because this poster was paperbacked onto a thinner paper backing, it COULD be sent rolled, but we would MUCH prefer to send it in a large flat package (because we fear that rolling it, even into a wide tube, would have an excellent change of damaging it, so we will only send it in a tube if the buyer insists, and then they would be responsible for any damage), but otherwise, we will ship it in a large flat package, so bear that expense in mind before bidding on this poster. What IS paperbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. Prior to paperbacking, the poster had creases, a few tears, and some tiny paper loss on both folds, and someone had put tape on the back of each fold. The bottom 4" of the poster was partially folded back at one time, and there was a tear 2" above that in the left half of the bottom of the poster that also once had tape on the back. There were pinholes around the edges, with a few small areas of paper loss. There were a few creases and scuffs scattered in the image. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to paperbacking. A really talented restorer performed excellent restoration to the poster, and it now displays really well, although you can see slight signs of the restoration when you look at it close up.
