An Undated (probably 1940s) Re-Release Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 28" x 41" [71 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) The Wages of Sin, the 1938 Herman E. Webber prostitution sexploitation melodrama ("Was she right in killing him? Your verdict may bring you a big cash prize."; "1000.00 Cash"; "A million thrills!"; "Reveals all and points a powerful moral!"; "A picture that hits you right between the eyes"; "Girls led to ruin by unscrupulous men"; "How do girls broke and desperate get by?"; "Adults only") starring Constance Worth, Willy Castello, Blanche Mehaffey, Frank LaRue, and Rose Plumer NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we believe that this poster is from a 1940s roadshow re-release of this 1938 movie (these kinds of movies were often shown in small towns in late night or midnight shows on the weekend for one week only). This is one of three different one-sheets we have seen for this movie (this is the only one that says "Mack Enterprise Presents" at the top), and this is the first time we have ever auctioned this style! If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Also note that this item contains some nudity, so we have placed a white bar over those areas for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual item does not have the white bars. Note that this one-sheet measures 28" x 41" [71 x 104 cm]. Note that this poster is one of a remarkable collection of 24 sexploitation one-sheets (and one two-sheet from one of the 24 titles) which are mostly from the 1940s, and most of them are ones we have never auctioned before. These are among the most desirable sexploitation posters ever, because they are far more rare than those from later years! Condition: very good. There is tiny paper loss at the top and bottom crossfolds and some tiny tears in small parts of the borders, and some extra creases on the folds. There is some slight red ink transfer in the poster, caused when it was folded. Learn More about condition grades
