Meet the People, the 1944 Charles Reisner World War II (WWII) Home Front romantic musical comedy ("MGM presents the gayest musical"; a really strange story of a Broadway star who sells war bonds at a Delaware shipyard, and she meets one of the workers who has written a show, and together, they go to Broadway to have it produced; but the producers change the show, and the playwright goes back to being a worker, so she quits her job and becomes a shipyard worker with him!) starring Lucille Ball, Dick Powell, Virginia O'Brien, Bert Lahr, 'Rags' Ragland, June Allyson, Vaughn Monroe & His Orchestra, and Spike Jones & His City Slickers

Artist: Marcel Vertes

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds. It had writing on the back of the top center that slightly bled through to the front. It had some smudges and stains scattered throughout, with many of them in the bottom credits area. It also had pinholes around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. The poster also acquired some stains in the bottom left corner after it was backed.
