An Original Vintage Theatrical Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22") (Learn More) State Theatre March 13, the 1932 local theater window card advertising the complete program from the week of March 13 to March 18, 1932, comprising of the following movies: The Mummy, the classic 1932 Karl Freund Universal Ancient Egypt romantic monster horror thriller starring Boris Karloff ("The Uncanny"; in the title role as Imhotep the Mummy), Zita Johann, David Manners, Edward Van Sloan and Arthur Byron AND Faithless, the 1932 Harry Beaumont romantic Depression-era melodrama starring Tallulah Bankhead, Robert Montgomery, Hugh Herbert, Maurice Murphy, and Louise Closser Hale AND Central Park, the 1932 John G. Adolfi New York City romantic conman charity swindling crime melodrama starring Joan Blondell, Wallace Ford, Guy Kibbee, Henry B. Walthall, and John Wray. Note that while this is an all-text poster, it IS an original movie poster advertising a showing of "The Mummy"! Any other poster or lobby card from this movie would cost between thousands of dollars and hundreds of thousands, so for the vast majority of collectors, this may well be one of the few original 1932 release items from this movie that they could buy! Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: fair. There are brown water stains scattered through the poster with some surface paper loss and nail holes around the edges. There is much dirt staining on the back of the top half of the card.
