An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Mexican Export (printed for use in Spanish speaking countries) Movie Poster (measures approximately 27" x 37" [69 x 94 cm]) (Learn More) Abismos de Pasion (literally translates to "Abyss of Passion"), the 1954 Luis Bunuel Mexican doomed-romance romantic love triangle melodrama starring Irasema Dilian (as Catalina, the substitute Catherine), Jorge Mistral (as Alexjandro, the substitute Heathcliff), Lilia Prado, Ernesto Alonso, Francisco Reiguera, Hortensia Santovena, Jaime Gonzalez Quinones, and Luis Aceves Castaneda. Note that director Luis Bunuel took the basic plot of Emily Bronte's "Wuthering Heights", and transferred it to Mexico, and gave the characters Mexican names, but otherwise, he pretty much followed the book! Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and some tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the folds. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking.
