Wellman silent cowboy circus romantic melodrama (Buck is not much of a cowboy in this movie, despite the title; he lives in a small town and returns after two years away to find his girl is married to the richest man in town, and he is falsely accused of attempting to murder him, and he runs away and joins a circus, where he falls in love with a pretty tightrope walker!) starring Buck Jones (billed as "Charles Jones"), Marian Nixon, Jack McDonald, Ray Hallor, and Marguerite Clayton. Note that Buck Jones' white horse was named Silver (just like The Lone Ranger's later on!), and Silver made 73 movies with Buck Jones from 1922 until Jones' death in 1942 in the tragic Cocoanut Grove fire. But oddly, Silver was almost never billed on the posters for Buck Jones' movies as so many other famous horses (most especially Tom Mix's Tony) were.
