An Autographed 1" x 4" Cut Album Page (Learn More) Eddie Cantor (born Isidore Itzkowitz) was a comic actor and singer from the 1920s to the 1950s. He performed a little later than Al Jolson, but there were similarities between the two men, and Cantor had very large expressive eyes and was nicknamed "Old Banjo Eyes". He had a very successful radio show in the 1930s. Some of his movies include: Thank Your Lucky Stars, Hollywood Canteen, and Whoopee! There was a movie biography of his life called "The Eddie Cantor Story". He passed away in 1964 at the age of 72. Important Added Info: This cut album page has been personally autographed (signed) by Eddie Cantor. It could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display! Note that this item has been trimmed and it now measures 1" x 4" [3 x 10 cm]. This autograph (and others from this same collection we are offering in separate auctions) comes from the estate of Dorothy Credille, who was a Hollywood publicist in the 1930s to the 1950s. During the course of her work, she became personal friends and an acquaintance of all the top Hollywood stars, and she collected many autographs in an autograph book (as well as some signed 8x10s and 11x14s). Someone took the autograph book and cut out the individual autographs, and this is one of those autographs from that book. We feel certain that it is authentic. Condition: very good. The autograph is glued to a heavier piece of paper. Learn More about condition grades
