An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) John Petticoats, the 1919 Lambert Hillyer silent Louisiana lumberjack inheritance comedy ("By C. Gardner Sullivan"; about a tough lumberjack named "Hardwood", who inherits a shop in New Orleans, and he goes there, and is dismayed to learn it is a shop that sells petticoats to women!) starring William S. Hart, Walt Whitman (NOT the famous poet, but their lives overlapped for 40 years, and this Walt Whitman was a character actor on stage and screen, who appeared in over 50 movies), George Webb, Winifred Westover, and Ethel Shannon NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: good to very good.
