An Original Vintage 7" x 9" [18 x 23 cm] Television Still (Learn More) Prescription: Murder, the 1968 Richard Irving made-for-TV detective crime mystery thriller starring Peter Falk (as Columbo), Gene Barry, Katherine Justice, William Windom, Nina Foch, and Virginia Gregg. Note that this was the pilot episode for TV's "Columbo" that was also released theatrically, three years before the series was picked up! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still is from the first showing of the TV movie "Prescription: Murder", which was part of the Tuesday Night at the Movies series on NBC. The TV movie was shown on Tuesday, February 20, 1968, and, as noted above, three years later, they turned this movie into a weekly series, "Columbo"! We know for certain it is from the first showing on this TV movie because it has the date printed on the snipe on the back. It is very hard to find stills from 1950s or 1960s TV episodes or TV movies that are absolutely from the first release, and are surely not from a 1960s or 1970s re-broadcast. Note that this TV still measures 7" x 9" [18 x 23 cm]. Also note that this still was printed on Kodak paper, but this is because TV stills were quite commonly printed on Kodak paper (no doubt they needed far fewer stills for TV shows than they did for movies, so it just made financial sense to have Kodak copies made rather than printing large numbers of them). We are certain it is an original TV still, and not a later copy. Condition: very good to fine. The still is in very nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
