Burnett"; about a "perfect robbery" with a team of top professionals, but of course, everything unravels, partially through double-crosses; perhaps the best movie of its kind!) starring Sterling Hayden, Louis Calhern, Jean Hagen, James Whitmore, Sam Jaffe (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), John McIntire, Marilyn Monroe, Marc Lawrence, Barry Kelley, Anthony Caruso, Teresa Celli, Brad Dexter, Don Haggerty, and Daniel Clarke NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this one-sheet is heavily trimmed and it now measures 26 3/4" x 31 3/4" [68 x 81 cm] see below. Note also that when this classic movie was first released in 1950, Marilyn Monroe was virtually unknown and so she received very low billing (but she WAS prominently pictured on the six-sheet, because she was sexy!). But when she shot to stardom, MGM re-released the movie with a new ad campaign featuring Monroe, with the tagline, "And this is the picture that first brought fame to MARILYN MONROE". Also note that this is an "international" style one-sheet (meaning it was printed in the U.S. for use in non-U.S. countries). Note the lack of a ratings box and NSS information. Condition: poor. The poster is in much lesser condition. It has been heavily trimmed at center and then someone taped a blank border along the trimmed lower edge. The portion that remains is heavily water stained, and there is separation along many folds (partially repaired with tape from the back).
