An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) After Midnight with Boston Blackie, the 1943 Lew Landers Massachusetts detective mystery crime thriller ("Blackie keeps the action boiling!"; "Blackie keeps cops blushing while blushing bride waits!"; "Cleverest of rogues halts march of crime with bullets!") starring Chester Morris (in the title role as Boston Blackie), George E. Stone, Ann Savage, Richard Lane, Lloyd Corrigan, Al Hill, Cy Kendall, and Walter Baldwin. Note that this is one of fourteen movies made in the 1940s with Chester Morris playing the fictional character "Boston Blackie", a former crook turned detective (there had been ten silent movies made in the 1920s), all of which were based on short stories by Jack Boyle. Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were machine folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT machine folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). Condition: good. The poster has scuff marks scattered throughout (see our image). There is a line of discoloration along the lower edge.
