An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Charleston in Six Lessons, the 1926 silent dancing instructional short ("By Arthur Murray"). Note that this is an extremely obscure dancing short subject by famed dance instructor Arthur Murray. No doubt it showed how to do the Charleston, but oddly, the only item from it we have ever seen is a lobby card, which shows a young black African American male getting his shoes shined, while standing by a black man shining his shoes and another young black man on the other side of him. On the back of that card, someone wrote "Hokey Pokey (comic song)", so there may well be a sequence in this short where these black men demonstrate this classic song! If anyone knows more about this short, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: fair to good. The card was folded down the middle and there is surface paper loss down that fold, with tiny paper loss and tiny surface paper loss in parts of the blank borders. Someone put a piece of tape on the back of the center of the top and bottom borders, to reinforce the fold. Learn More about condition grades
