Some of her movies include: Rebecca (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), The Ten Commandments (as Memnet), Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and Laura. She was "awarded Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in the 1960 Queen's New Year's Honours List for her services to the performing arts". She passed away in 1992 at the age of 94.
