Cronin's Novel on the Screen!"; "Adapted from the novel by A.J. Cronin"; "By A.J. Cronin author of 'The Citadel'"; about an Welsh mining town) starring Margaret Lockwood, Michael Redgrave (in his fourth movie role!), Emlyn Williams, Edward Rigby, Nancy Price, and Olga Lindo. Note that A.J. Cronin was a doctor who had health problems in 1930. He wrote a book called "Hatter's Castle" in 1931, and it was so successful that he stopped practicing medicine and wrote a series of books, all centering around doctors, including "The Citadel" and "Keys of the Kingdom", all of which were made into movies!
